(The Slovak Youth Care Center in Bratislava and its Forms of Promoting Social and Health Care for Children in the Slovak State) – pdf
Abstract: The Slovak Youth Care Center in Bratislava, together with subordinate District Youth Care, carried out many activities aimed at social and social-health care for children and youth in Slovakia in interwar Czechoslovakia and during the Slovak State. Among the activities of this institution was the promotion of social and health care for children. The study deals with specific activities aimed at promoting this care – which activities the headquarters organized and in what way. The study is based on the research of archival materials, contemporary literature and press and the research carried out so far. The analysis of the forms of promotion of social and health care by the Slovak Youth Care Center in Bratislava pointed to its direct and indirect forms. The main promotional channels included the magazine Sociálne rozhľady, lectures organized by the Center, radio broadcasts, but also events such as Slovak Family Day and Children´s Day.
