Abstract: Although he did not achieve a degree in theology, Andreas Osiander was very educated man. During years 1520 – 1548 he lived and worked in Norimberg and in following three years (1549 – 1552) in Königsberg. In his scripts he repeatedly appealed to conciliation between Christians and Jews. He is translator of Vulgata and other important scripts. His doctrine of justification was rejected in 1566. He was interested in astronomy and mathematics. On the other hand, his contemporaries often mentioned his abrasive behaviour.
