Abstract: Density of population in the Čierna voda river basin with numerous settlement sites and collected finds allows us to draw attention to this region, which was not only settled in the Middle and Late La Tène period, but it was also in touch with events in the then “Celtic” world. It is evidenced by e. g. numerous coins, jewels of metal or glass and other chronologically sensitive artifacts.
