Abstract: The contribution focuses on so far unpublished archaeological site in Štúrovo. It was excavated by the Department of Archaeology of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra during rescue archaeological excavation in 2009. It is represented by five inhumation graves from the High Middle Ages/Modern Age examined on the northern edge of town Štúrovo near the Danube river bank. The paper contains an analysis of the excavation units, and also seeks historical interpretation of the studied source.
